Ashley DiPrete, RVT, VTS (SAIM)
Co-Founder and Contributing Author
Ashley DiPrete, RVT, VTS (SAIM) is the co-founder of Internal Medicine For Pet Parents. She attended the Veterinary Technology program at The College of Southern Nevada and received her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in 2009. In 2016 Ashley earned her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (SAIM). She is the 2019 President of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians.
Ashley’s areas of special interest include the diagnostic process, emergency and critical care, pancreatic disorders, and liver disorders. She also loves to teach and inspire the next generation of veterinary technicians.
She has presented on subjects related to SAIM at American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Forum in 2017, WVC in 2018 and 2019, Ontario Association for Veterinary Technicians in 2018, Wild West Veterinary Conference in 2018, Southwest Veterinary Conference in 2019, DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine Technicians, and is an online teacher with Veterinary Support Personnel Network.
In her off time, Ashley likes to pretend that she is a kick-boxer at Omni Fight Club and hang out at local wineries. She is owned by two extraordinary kitties, Tito Bandito DiPrete-Ortiz and Vincenzo Stefano.
